Dave, Sarah, and Gracie all came down to visit last weekend. We had the best time hanging out and catching up! So blessed to have friends who are willing to make a 5+ hour drive on their vacation time just to be with us! We started out the weekend at Pickwick and really had great weather. Saturday wasn’t very sunny, but it was warm enough to swim and go out in the boat anyway. We made the most of our time there and did a little of everything!
2 cutie pies waiting for sunscreen to soak in!
Definitely witnessed some differences in boys and girls this weekend too! One being- Gracie carefully climbed down the ladder into the water, and Cole ran like a maniac and jumped into the water.
End result was the same though… two happy little kiddos!
Murray let Cole help reel in a fish! As you can see from Cole’s face, it was a whopper!
Time to race on the wave runners!
Lunch and rest break…
Headed out in the boat! We had a wonderful driver!
Had to include this cute one of Logan and Jordan!
And while Logan was busy in the front of the boat… Cole was making his move in the back. Logan- You better watch out! Hard to see but he had his arm around her. Haha.
Three sets of buddies!
We definitely wore them out with all the fun! They are such sweet friends! I love this and promise we didn’t stage this or even encourage it!
Here they are all zoned out watching a movie!
Back at it again on Sunday! This time Cole was teaching Gracie how to ski!
She was a brave girl and got out there to try… just couldn’t quite let go of Mr. Murray! Who can blame her?!?!
We did get her out on the tube having fun though!
Monday we were back in Memphis, and we headed to the zoo!
We even had the special treat of meeting up with our friends Liz, Davis, and Emerson! As you can see, the kids were quite happy to have each other around! Held hands walking around… held hands riding in the stroller…
This picture required a LONG wait and much effort. We were also really glad that the girl in the group was brave enough to hold the bird… girls rule!
Sissy loved watching the birds flying around!
My sweet little zoo keeper!
And the much anticipated train ride! Cole and Gracie were so pumped to ride this that we waited 30 min for the guy to get back from break. Two laps around the track later, there were two riders who thought it was worth it. Bet you can’t guess which two! Haha.
We are already missing our buddies, but we are thankful for the visit and time together! Looking forward to future fun times with the Reece family and more day trips with Liz, Davis, and Emmy!
