Fall Break!

Cole and Jordan only go to school 3 half days a week, but we were still super excited for Fall Break.  Our only disappointment was that Daddy didn’t get a Fall Break too, but we managed to have some special times with him anyway.  And despite Cole’s AND Hayes’ ear infections (poor babies), we had a lot of fun!  We started off our break with a little arts and crafts time so that we could have some super cute Halloween decorations around the house.  The kids were super into it and have been so proud to show anyone and everyone their work!

We went to an open gym the next morning.  Cole and Jordan loved it, and I think Hayes had a pretty good time too!

We went to Harding’s homecoming football game, and we all had the best time.  The kids wore themselves out rolling down the hill, we spent a fortune at the concession stand, and Harding won with like a few seconds left in the game!  Super fun night!

We spent some nice time at home, just playing and hanging out together.  And a lot of time in our jammies!

Murray treated me to an afternoon out where I got a haircut.  It was so nice!  It gave him some time with the kids too.  They watched a movie, ate popcorn, and Jordan even had some special moments with Daddy!  Winking smile  Nothing like a podiatrist with sparkly toenails!

Murray had to go to a training course in Naples (not fair!) the end of the week so the kids and I headed to Pickwick for the rest of our break.  We had so much fun playing with everyone there!  Annie showed the kids the new sand, and they had the best time with it!

Uncle Smith turned out to be a really fun in the sand too!  He came up with a really fun game with Cole where he had to follow tracks to find the buried treasure.  Cole LOVED the game, and Smith ended up having to get pretty creative with his hiding skills.

And if that wasn’t fun enough, then Smith buried them!

All that playing in the sand wore them out!  Thankfully Nonny and Poppy have a nice hammock to rest in!

We also got to celebrate Aunt Kelsey’s birthday!  Sweet Annie Grace could not have been more excited for her momma!

We did our share of artwork at the lake too!  Kels and Nonny painted a table with paint that made it a big chalkboard!  It kept them so entertained that I’m definitely considering finding something to paint at my house.

We drew, painted, and colored, and Jordan worked really hard on writing her name!  Cole did the first two.  I loved his alligator that he drew.

Jordan drew me pregnant.  So sweet.  And she drew mountains, sun, and clouds.

Hayes was starting to feel pretty crummy by this point so he got some extra attention and loving!

We all got our fair share of snuggling in though!

And Cole and Poppy worked hard to get this 4 wheeler running!  The reward was a pretty fun ride!

We headed back to Memphis early Sunday because Daddy was getting home!!!  Cole has really wanted to take Murray and Jordan to the Pink Palace ever since our Date Knight earlier in the summer.  We never made it happen this summer, but we headed there for a fun finish to our Fall Break!  We had so much fun.  Even Hayes, despite the unimpressed look he has in our family picture.  Haha.

We definitely had a great fall break.  I really enjoyed having Cole and Jordan home those 3 mornings and having an excuse to have a little extra fun with them and our whole family!
