The Buzz

Murray loves to have his hair buzzed in the summer.  Really, he loves it year round, but especially in the summer when it is so hot.  I think he looks great both ways, and I kinda like that he can change it up time to time.  That being said, Cole decided he needed his buzzed like Murray, and I was a little sad that my baby boy wanted such a big boy haircut.  I guess 6 is big enough to have a preference on how they look though so momma gave in…

Murray was in charge of the clippers, and Jordan and Hayes were the excited spectators!  Cole struggled a little with the vibration tickling him, but he persevered!

The funniest thing was that Hayes was determined he was next in line for a haircut.  I was really not for that though so Murray pretended to do his.  He was so happy sitting there, but, when Murray let him look in the mirror to see, he was not fooled!  He immediately started fussing and saying “more, more!”  He knew he didn’t look like Cole and Daddy.  Haha.  Too smart!

Summer of Swimming!

Considering that we don’t have a pool, we have managed to swim a lot this summer!  That is a really good thing as hot as it has been and as much as my kids love to swim!  They truly are little fishies!  I have already shared several pictures and videos of our pool fun, but I have to add a few more fun memories!

We went swimming at a friend’s pool one day with my mom, sister, and Annie.  We were sad that our friends weren’t able to swim with us, but we were thankful they didn’t mind us using the pool!

I was pretty popular outside the pool because I brought snacks… haha!

Jordan’s dive…

When swimming got boring…

We hit up another friend’s pool on a Saturday when Daddy could go with us… Cole and Jordan really pushed their swimming skills this time, and Hayes enjoyed a little pool football with his big brother!

And this past weekend, Jordan figured out a new trick, and Hayes learned to jump all by himself!  Cole also dove for a lacrosse ball that was at the bottom of the deep end with no trouble at all, but I didn’t get it on video… :(

Thanks to everyone sharing their pools with us!!!  We are loving it!!!

Also I have to share these two pictures together.  It was not intentional, but I have a picture from last summer almost exactly like a picture from this summer.  Look how much Hayes has changed!!!

3 Months Old

3 months old, and oh how you fill our hearts, sweet girl!  That smile of yours lights up your whole face and makes your eyes sparkle! You truly are a happy, chill baby and a total joy.

You still sleep a lot.  You are doing great at night- sleeping a good 7-8 hour stretch most nights.  You also take a really great nap most afternoons in your swing.  The rest of the day, you tend to catnap, but I think that is probably because of the way our days go.  We are on the go a lot, and you just roll with it!

Although you are a good sleeper, you do have a lot more awake time these days.  Thanks to Cole reminding me, we try to work in some tummy time while you are awake.  Your big brothers and sister love getting down in the floor and talking to you.  It’s working because I can see a big improvement in how you can hold your pretty little head up!

You aren’t showing off your head holding skills in this video, but you do show off your sweet voice… even if you are telling me nicely that you are DONE with tummy time!

This next video is a little outdated because it was early in the month when you were just starting to really find your voice.  You have been talking so much more just in the last couple of days.  You especially seem to love talking while you are lying on your changing table.  Haha.  I LOVE to here your voice.  It cracks me up sometimes to hear you in your carseat behind me just jabbering away.  You say boobooboo a lot and several people have heard you say mama.  I know it isn’t intentional, and you aren’t calling me, BUT it’s pretty doggone cute!

You really like this toy.  Whether you are laying under it to try to hit it with your hands or sitting in your carseat to kick it, you really go after it!  Your little face is so funny to watch while you play.  You get so excited!

   

Your face is so expressive these days!  You give me the funniest looks and have the pouty lip down pat!

 

You had your first slumber party at Nonny and Poppy’s house this month.  I was a little worried you would miss me, but it seems like you had a pretty great time!  You even laughed out loud for the first time at Nonny!  Thankfully she knew I would want to hear it and sent me this sweet video!

I have to tell ya, there is not much I enjoy more in life right now than holding you while you sleep.  With your big brothers and sister around, piles of laundry to fold, and loads of dishes to wash, I don’t always have the luxury of doing just that, but I can promise you that I choose your snuggles as often as I can!  You are so sweet!

I can’t seem to stop taking pictures of you.  You are the best little model, and I just snap away!  I mean… just look at that cuteness!

  

You just smile all over yourself when I talk to you… when anyone does really.  Goodness, you are just so sweet I could just eat you up!

You are doing a little better taking a paci, but you have really started finding your hands too.  You have sucked on several different fingers, but lately, you seem to be favoring your right thumb.  I am interested to see what you end up doing.

I cannot begin to describe how much I love your chubby, snuggly, little self.  You are such a blessing from God, and I am SO thankful he knew our family needed you.  You are truly adored by us all!
