So... waaaaay back in November, you turned 19 months old! I think you will see by the amount of pictures and videos that I have of you that, even though I am behind in writing about it all, I absolutely think you are amazing!
You are a happy little toot! You love to play, read, sing, eat, make messes, be silly, dance, and splash in the bathtub. It's so fun watching you enjoy so many things!
You are probably at your happiest when you are outside. You love it!
You do have your unhappy moments, and you are definitely learning to pitch a good fit!
Kyndall Lynn, you are growing up too fast! It's like you added that half to your one and took off! It is really crazy how much you are changing each day. You are trying to do so many big kid things. You are really independent. You love doing things like feeding yourself on your own. Some skills you have mastered, but some you still have some perfecting left to do! Sweet how proud you are though! Here are a few videos...
You are talking up a storm. Some things I can understand really well, but a lot of the time still you are just chatting away, and I am lucky to make out a word or two.
Two of your very favorite things right now are animals and babies. You have loved being around your new baby second cousins at the last few family get-togethers. You are quite the baby hog!
You have loved our last few trips to the zoo too- pointing out all the animals!
And here are some videos of you with our dog that is no longer our dog and our new dog... haha.
Here are a couple more pictures of your cuteness!
Sweet baby... We love you so very much. We love watching you learn new things, and we know these are just the tip of the iceberg. You are so smart and special. We are SO glad you are ours!
You were well celebrated this year! And why not?!?! You are awesome! First up was a party in Huntingdon. Mimi made it a dinosaur party which you really hated. It's too bad nobody knows the things you like! Haha.
Next up was your party with Nonny, Poppy, and gang at Chuck E. Cheese!
On your actual birthday, you woke up to some fun decorations and presents!
We got to eat lunch at school with Cole. You were just a little bit excited!
And finally, that night, we had a really fun friend party! You wanted a puppy dog party, and I think you were pretty happy about how it turned out.
You have a lot of people who really love you a lot!!!
Oh my sweet Hayes-ey Butler! I cannot believe I am writing your 3 year old post. I realize I am writing it a few months late, but I hope you know it is just because I try to squeeze so much fun into our days that I run out of time to write all about it.
You are SUCH a joy, little guy! You have always had an AWESOME smile and laugh, and your excitement radiates out of your big, brown eyes. You are so much fun and add so much laughter to our lives! We think you are so funny, and we love watching all the things you do and say. You really enjoy making people laugh and usually ask after doing something, "Was that funny?"
I am going to try to list (through words, pictures, and videos) some of our favorite things about you from the past year. Know that this is in no way a complete list. There are too many to write!
From a language standpoint, you still have a lot of mix-ups on your letters which makes the way you say certain things really cute. We love how you say "I love you"... I wuv wu. You also say "Yeah" like weah, and I love it. You always describe things as "super!" You usually finish a story or statement with "Right, mom?" You say your name is Hayes-ey Bear Butler, and you will argue if we try to correct you with your actual name.
You love to pretend, and you are so good at it! You most often are a T-Rex (making sure everyone knows you have little bitty arms), but you also like to be a puppy dog, Captain Hook, the Ping Pong Bandit, or a Big Bad Wolf! When you are playing with animals or dinosaurs (your favorite), you always make sure to identify the momma, daddy, and baby. Sometimes you even add in the big brother or sister.
You are great at playing independently, but you also love to play with your siblings. You think wrestling with Cole is the best, and you can pretty easily be talked into playing dress-up with Jordan... at least for now!
You want to be just like those two! You try things you probably shouldn't for your age because of it, but it makes you so proud to do things independently! Climbing up playspaces, driving powerwheels, sleeping upstairs with the big kids bungee trampolines... just a few of the big kid things you're doing these days!
You even got to have your very own spend the night trip to Mimi and PopPop's house this year!
You also are POTTY TRAINED! You did so great with it too. I think I was holding you back not trying sooner. Haha. You love your big boy underwear and are doing such a great job. It's pretty incredible how well you have done!
You technically became a big brother last year, but it was been awesome watching you become an involved big brother this year. You look out for Kyndall all the time and are so sweet to her! She adores you, and I can tell you two will be the best of friends!
You love to be outside, and it doesn't matter if it's raining or shining! I think you would stay outside all day if I would let you which shouldn't surprise me I guess because you are all boy! Dinosaurs, dirt, animals, peeing outside, making messes, looking for bugs, being loud and rowdy... yep! All boy!
You have made several little buddies this year. Edison is by far the one you talk about the most. He is in your Bible class at church and has been at all of the baseball games with us because his brother Lincoln is on Cole's team! You boys are trouble but have so much fun together! Your other favorite friend is Nora! She really is probably your absolute favorite, and I don't blame you. She is so sweet to you even though she is 5 years older!
You love to steal snacks out of the pantry or drinks of my cokes saying that you are a "sneaky big guy" (instead of a sneaky little guy like I call you). You don't like to be left in Bible Class right now. You love for Daddy to sing you "Baby Beluga" at night, and "Blues Skies and Rainbows" is your top request for Momma. You really love being naked and love wearing boots. In fact, it's not uncommon to find you with nothing on but undies and boots! You contradict yourself a lot. You like to say our prayers. You are hit or miss on naps, but still take them more than not. You love to sing and dance.
You weighed 29.5lbs (25th %) and were 37.5in (75th %) at your 3 year old check. I will have to look back, but I feel like you may be the biggest of our 3 year olds so far! I know you would be so happy about that. Haha.
Hayes, we really could not love you more. You have the softest, most kissable lips, and your Daddy and I steal a kiss every chance we get! We could rock and snuggle you all night... sometimes Daddy tries to when he falls asleep with you!
God made you just right, and we are SO glad He gave you to us. Always seek Him in all you do. Somehow he loves you even more than we do!
I'm a 31 year old that is happily married to a crazy, fun-loving person! Cole is our first baby. He is so smart, funny, and thoughtful, and we could not be more in love with him! Next we added our baby girl Jordan to the mix, and she is definitely sugar and spice as the saying goes! She is the prettiest little thing ever and loves being the princess of the family! Little Baby Hayes is laid-back and cute as a button. We love watching him grow and learn! Those 3 definitely make our life so much richer which is why we are so excited to add another sweet baby to our family in April! I have the best family and friends in the world, my incredibly cute husband, and the most precious kiddos ever. God has been good to us!
