Short one…

We went to Florida last week, and I can’t wait to share our pictures, videos, and stories, but that is going to take some serious time.  So till I find that time decide not to sleep, I’ll just share some of our fun from this week.

This is actually from right before we went to Florida.  We decided to have a picnic at the park (aka- the playground right down the street).  Cole loves going there, and, for an even more special treat, Daddy got to come too!  Guess who was making the peanut butter & jelly sandwiches… yep- Daddy!

And isn’t Daddy just the funniest… Oh well!  Boys will be boys.  (And I can’t say much since I videoed it instead of stopping it.  Haha.)

Monday evening, we took Cole to see his first kids’ movie at the movie theater.  We had heard from several of our friends how great the Winnie the Pooh movie was, and it definitely lived up to the high expectations they set.  Even Murray and I were laughing at it, and Cole loved it!  Jordan did great too.  She slept through a lot of it, but was happy when she wasn’t sleeping.

Tuesday we headed to the pool with Jenn, Max, Slade, and Allie.  I felt like supermom after this day because 2 adults with a 5 kids under 4 was crazy, BUT we did it!  Thank goodness for floaties!  Winking smile

Yesterday we played outside a while, but it is SO hot here!  Jordan was so happy to be back in the air conditioning she passed out like this on the couch.  Such a sweet baby!

Also… somehow missed sharing these pictures sooner, but our good friends Adam & Emily had their sweet baby Andee 7/7/11.  Jordan is racking up those BFFs really quickly!

Promise I’ll start working on the post about our trip.  Till then… Hope you enjoyed!

Party, party, party, party… PARTY!!!

That song totally describes our family the last week or so!  Cole turning 2 has been a MAJOR event in our house!  Actually it has been a major event several places with more to come!  We started out the celebrations in Pickwick with a bunch of my family.  My parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins were all there.  It helped that it was 4th of July weekend so they all had an extra day off, and it was at the lake, but still.  It has been really fun to watch him be so excited about his birthday parties, cake, presents, AND the birthday song.  I bet we have sung that song to him a million times!  He never gets tired of it!

Mom went with a Sesame Street theme… definitely a winner!

All the characters on the plates and napkins had party hats on so Cole of course asked where his party hat was… uh-oh!  Thank goodness for a creative Poppy!  Haha.

He probably took 200 pictures with this camera!  You can actually download the pictures to your computer too.  So funny!

I love how serious he is in this video, but he obviously loved it since he asked for us to do it again!

The next weekend we threw his friend birthday party here in Louisville.  We went with the farm theme, and I think it was a hit!  Cole was super excited about all his friends coming to his party, and he loved his decorations.  At one point he walked up to the table and said “I wuv it!”  That moment made all the craziness worth it!

Trying out the cow suckers before the party… really glad I took his shirt off!

SO EXCITED!

Thank you Oriental Trading!  Haha.

My mom always made our birthday cakes so I really wanted to make Cole’s, but I’m not too creative or much of a baker… I was really surprised myself and was excited about how it turned out!

Cute bean bag game for the kids to play.

The kids LOVED the balloons- haha.

Nothing like pizza and capri suns to calm them down though!

Happy Birthday to Cole!

The kids played outside, and luckily it wasn’t too crazy hot for them.

These hats were part of the party favors.  Too funny!

Sweet little sissy was perfect at the party!

We celebrated his real birthday with this big boy present & time at the pool.

He has been pretending ever since we gave him his bike that someone is here playing with him.  It started out that his friend Libby was here riding with him, but this morning Curious George is here.  He came up with this game all on his own.  It’s been funny hearing him tell Curious George to push him or tell me that Curious George is on his bicycle with him and to watch him.  Haha.  What a great imagination!

Look at this big boy swimming by himself!

We are looking forward to celebrating with Murray’s family when we go to Florida with them next week.  I think we should call it a birthmonth instead of a birthday, but he is a special little boy that deserves celebrating!
