That song totally describes our family the last week or so! Cole turning 2 has been a MAJOR event in our house! Actually it has been a major event several places with more to come! We started out the celebrations in Pickwick with a bunch of my family. My parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins were all there. It helped that it was 4th of July weekend so they all had an extra day off, and it was at the lake, but still. It has been really fun to watch him be so excited about his birthday parties, cake, presents, AND the birthday song. I bet we have sung that song to him a million times! He never gets tired of it!
Mom went with a Sesame Street theme… definitely a winner!
All the characters on the plates and napkins had party hats on so Cole of course asked where his party hat was… uh-oh! Thank goodness for a creative Poppy! Haha.
Opening presents…
He probably took 200 pictures with this camera! You can actually download the pictures to your computer too. So funny!
The cake!
I love how serious he is in this video, but he obviously loved it since he asked for us to do it again!
Family shot…
This picture still doesn’t include my aunts, uncles, and cousins that were there… He truly did not lack for attention!
The next weekend we threw his friend birthday party here in Louisville. We went with the farm theme, and I think it was a hit! Cole was super excited about all his friends coming to his party, and he loved his decorations. At one point he walked up to the table and said “I wuv it!” That moment made all the craziness worth it!
Trying out the cow suckers before the party… really glad I took his shirt off!
SO EXCITED!
Thank you Oriental Trading! Haha.
My mom always made our birthday cakes so I really wanted to make Cole’s, but I’m not too creative or much of a baker… I was really surprised myself and was excited about how it turned out!
Cute bean bag game for the kids to play.
The kids LOVED the balloons- haha.
Nothing like pizza and capri suns to calm them down though!
Happy Birthday to Cole!
Present time!
After growing bored with all the inside toys…
The kids played outside, and luckily it wasn’t too crazy hot for them.
These hats were part of the party favors. Too funny!
Sweet little sissy was perfect at the party!
We celebrated his real birthday with this big boy present & time at the pool.
He has been pretending ever since we gave him his bike that someone is here playing with him. It started out that his friend Libby was here riding with him, but this morning Curious George is here. He came up with this game all on his own. It’s been funny hearing him tell Curious George to push him or tell me that Curious George is on his bicycle with him and to watch him. Haha. What a great imagination!
Look at this big boy swimming by himself!
Jordan’s first time in the water!
We are looking forward to celebrating with Murray’s family when we go to Florida with them next week. I think we should call it a birthmonth instead of a birthday, but he is a special little boy that deserves celebrating!
