Daddy always gets such great smiles from Hayes, but I think Hayes is really enjoying having all his attention with Cole and Jordan away at Mimi & PopPop’s!

I feel like I have so many more singing videos of Cole even though she sings all the time. So, while Jordan was in a singing mood, I tried to take advantage. Of course she didn’t want to continue when I pulled the camera out, but I did end up getting her to teach Hayes the ABCs.
She only got a little silly and distracted…
Hayes was fussy the other day, and Cole said he thought Hayes was saying he wanted his big brother. Sweet boy tried many positions, ssshing, and kissing Hayes before finally saying that Hayes actually said he wanted his big sister! Haha!
Funnily enough Hayes did calm down with her!
But I know he was really saying he wanted his momma. See…
Tummy time video with a little smiling and talking…
Craziness with Daddy! Hayes is asking for a turn in the background. Haha.
Bath time is getting more fun although Hayes still gives me looks like he can’t believe I am doing it to him! He either doesn’t believe he is dirty or can’t believe I am putting him in with the big kids!
Murray’s office had their work party Friday night. Now, normally most people wouldn’t be all that excited about their spouse’s work party, but I was actually really excited. He works with a lot of fun people, and last year’s party was really fun. This year lived up to expectations, and we had a great time. We enjoyed fun company, good food, funny entertainment, and a serious game of Dirty Santa. Plus, I was also pretty happy to get dressed up in something besides my usual jeans and long-sleeve t-shirt. And Murray was pretty nice too look at all night too!
Every year Murray’s partner, Laura, always comes up with this seriously funny and impressive poem about the past year. In it she hits the year’s highlights and basically roasts everyone that works at the office, including herself. She also has a gag gift to go along with each person’s part of the poem too. It started off with her showing a high school video of one of the girl’s “Hello Dolly” performance.
You can tell by the smiles that everyone had a great time with it!
One part required Murray giving the “So you wanna be a redneck” quiz to the 3 northern transplants. Pretty funny!
For Murray’s roast, she joked about how what he had in his pocket for protection obviously wasn’t working since we are pregnant every year. Haha. You can see in the picture what his gag gift was…
She went all out on this gift… there are a couple of newlywed girls at the office, and she made sure they wouldn’t be requiring a maternity leave any time soon with Duck Dynasty footsie jammies, hair caps, and breath right strips. Murray even threw in his gag gift to help out with that effort. Haha.
I had about 6-7 gifts stolen from me during the Dirty Santa game. It became pretty funny for me to keep getting back up for another turn to choose. I can’t even remember all the things I had at some point but know I lost a necklace from Kay’s, movie tickets, homemade bread/jelly/cookies/salsa, 2 different candles, and I ended up with a Santa snuggie. It didn’t get stolen.
To spice it up, there were some really great gifts in the mix, but you didn’t know for sure if they were real or not. For example, a Kindle Fire and Ipad Air were unwrapped. The rules were you couldn’t open the box to see if that was really what was in there. At the end of the game, the Kindle Fire was real, but this was what was in the Ipad Air box. Quite the disappointment for Mrs. Jackie! Leia was excited though because she thought she was getting a picture of Laura’s dog, only to find a $100 bill behind the picture!
Murray and Laura both received really nice gifts from the staff too.
It’s really nice for me to spend time with all the people who help Murray out everyday. We feel very blessed to have them working alongside him and appreciate all their hard work! It was fun to have a night off to hang out and not need to do anything but have fun!
Everyone keeps asking- how is it with 3 kids? Haha. Well, funny you should ask. I feel like our life is a pendulum… swinging from one extreme to the other. We have moments of pure sweetness, precious memories, and more love than our hearts can seem to hold. And then we have moments of utter chaos where everyone’s crying, someone needs wiped, another spilled their drink, and we are running incredibly late to wherever it is we are supposed to be. Some days I keep the house pretty clean. And other days I would be embarrassed for anyone to see it! Proof in pictures…
Extreme 1:
My kids are just the cutest and can be the absolute sweetest and most thoughtful.
Hayes enjoying tummy time and not being held… Cole and Jordan entertaining and taking care of baby brother…
Clean, pretty house…
Extreme 2:
Unhappy baby who won’t take a paci!!!
Fits and MESSES!!!
House hit by tornado…
So- how is it with 3 kids? Happy and crazy! At the end of the day, no matter how busy, I am SO blessed to have these 3 sweet babies, and I couldn’t love them more. They will have times where they need my grace and forgiveness just like I will have times where I will need theirs. We are all in this together, making it a day at a time, trying not to take life too seriously, and trying to laugh at the craziness!
And more than anything I love this man that always makes life better. Can’t believe we have 3 babies and get to celebrate 7 years of marriage tomorrow! Thank you Murray for being my best friend, for loving me so sweetly, helping me be better, providing stability and so much fun simultaneously, and sticking with me in the craziness! I wouldn’t trade this life we have made for any other! I love you!
