Last Tuesday was our first official day of summer since it would have been a day the kids were in school. We had a fun “It’s Summer!” day together! It started out with a trip to Gibson’s for donuts which is always a hit! Next up was Highland’s story time! The kids loved the crafts, playtime, singing, story, and snack! Fun friends didn’t hurt either!
Next up was lunch at ChickFilA- which was wild! I luckily ran into a high school friend who watched Kyndall while I had to rescue Hayes from the top of the playground because another boy had boosted him up the steps… and I had just told him not to help him up because he was too little and was scared to go down the slide. Oh well. Haha.
From there we got the boys some MUCH needed haircuts!
Followed by an ice cream treat for being such troopers all day!
That night when Daddy came home, we busted out Jordan’s new sprinkler she got for her birthday and grilled a yummy dinner! The kids may have ruined their appetite munching on watermelon, but what says summer more than yummy watermelon?!?! (Kyndall did enjoy being outside despite what her picture may look like…)
We are pumped for summertime and can’t wait for all it has in store!
