SSSSHHH!

Don't tell my Daddy, but mommy and I have been getting ready for his special day on Sunday... I have been working hard, but I can't complain because mommy gives me the fun jobs. Here is a sneak peak.
I love getting messy!

I know, I know... I'm so cute!

Daddy almost caught us working! Don't worry... mommy got rid of the evidence on me before Daddy came in!

And then I distracted Daddy on the bed while Mommy finished hiding everything.

He never suspected a thing... by the way- I look pretty good in Daddy's hat- huh?

***Check out my fun day at the pool down below!!!***

Our little fishy!

Cole loves the water, and we couldn't be happier- especially since it seems like it will be a very hot summer! There is a very nice couple at church that has told us to use their pool whenever we want to, and we took advantage of that on one of Murray's days off. We had the best time! I think that Cole would have stayed all day, but Mommy and Daddy got hungry! Haha.

Cole had a great time driving his Mickey boat all around the pool.

But I think he loved actually swimming better. He was not timid at all. You can see that the front of his hair is wet because he kept sticking his face in the water on purpose.

Playing with Mommy!

Always good to have floating toys to play with at the pool!

Once we left, Cole realized that he was starving! Little Ceasar's was on the way home so we grabbed a $5 pizza and hit the park for a picnic. All that swimming will make a boy hungry!

Sliding with Daddy!

Why I love my life... so sweet to have big trunks and little trunks hung over the bathtub!

Time in Tennessee

We have spent a lot of time in TN over the past couple of weeks. Cole and I went home for Memorial Day, and Murray joined us on the following Wednesday to stay through the next Tuesday! What a fun week and a half! We got to enjoy some relaxing time at the lake, introduce Cole to the boat & lake, spend time with both sides of the family, and celebrate Thomas & Morgan tying the knot! As you can see, it was busy as always, but a bunch of great memories!

The wedding was GORGEOUS!!! Thomas and Morgan did such a great job planning it, and everyone else did such a good job pitching in to help pull it off. It couldn't have been a prettier day for an outside wedding. The guys might have liked a little cooler day, but still...

At her bridesmaids luncheon... every part of the wedding process was so thought out and decorated so beautifully. And let me just say that the food at this luncheon was SO good! If I hadn't had a dress to fit into or been embarrassed, I would have been getting seconds and thirds!

All the girls (bride, bridesmaids, attendants, cousins).

Cole entertaining at the rehearsal dinner. He was in a little too good of a mood because I had to take him out because he wouldn't stop talking to everyone during the speeches. Guess he wanted to congratulate Thomas and Morgan too!

Is he not the cutest little boy you have ever seen?!?!

He absolutely adores Easton! Whatever Easton did, Cole wanted to do, and Easton couldn't be a sweeter big cousin to Cole.

The wedding site. Oh my goodness- right?

The bride with her cool ring bearer!

Love my family!

Me & Cole with Mimi and Nonny! Thanks Nonny for coming to entertain Cole while the rest of the family was busy!

Just swinging on his Aunt's porch swing waiting to be introduced at the reception.

Sorry Mrs. Jenn... It was just too cute. I love that my husband loves his momma!

With the happy couple... it was a little hot out there. Haha.

Cole loves his Uncle Joseph! Anyone who will walk him around nonstop and sing silly songs while doing crazy dances is a winner in Cole's book!

If you are wondering why Easton looks so hot, here is the reason. He was breaking it down! Look out ladies!

Playing with the Cardinals balloons after the reception. He was such a trooper staying up so late!

Eating lunch with Mimi and PopPop before heading to the lake.

And one final silly song and dance!

PICKWICK!!! We love the lake, and thankfully Cole does too. It was so fun to have my whole family together at the lake. Logan is back from Chile so we weren't missing anyone this weekend!

He was so excited to get in the water and splash, splash, splash.

First time on a waverunner... He loved "driving it" and making boat sounds.

Ready to take the boat for a spin. Thanks for being so fun Uncle Smith!

Poppy was risking our lives letting Cole steer the boat, but Cole was loving it!

We know who the best driver is!

Aunt Kelsey entertaining the poor boy who was burning up in that life jacket!

Checking out the water...

He had to take a dip!

Semi-skinnydip! Check out those cute buns!

Nonny has had a lot of practice getting babies to nap on boats! She is just the best napping spot!

Back up and ready to go! He stayed out with us all day. We were so proud of our little waterbaby!

The fisherman and their big catch!

11 Months Old!

Cole turned 11 months old 2 days ago... yes momma, I'm a slacker. =) I cannot even begin to believe that he will be 1 year old in a month. The only reason that it isn't completely blowing my mind is that he is getting so big. He has changed 100% in the past month physically, mentally, and even emotionally. We had to go back for recheck of his ears so I was able to see how much he weighed... 18lbs 6oz! We are gaining! And he has 5 teeth!!! We went from none to 5 in a little over a month. Such a different smile now, but still so sweet!

So... physically he can brush his teeth, take drinks from his sippy alone, DANCE, stand alone for long periods, take 8-9 steps in a row, play patty-cake, throw a ball, eats so much table food (pizza, cheese, potato, green beans, banana, rolls, ham, noodles, gummies, etc.), give high-fives, ride a rocking horse alone, and help get his arms and feet into and out of clothes. I know I'm forgetting so much, but that gives you a good idea.

Mentally he has made crazy strides. Of course, I think that he has been a genius from the start, but he has even amazed me at the things he remembers and can comprehend now. He follows commands like get ___, give ___ to momma or daddy, where's ___, shut the cabinet. Haha. He can identify dogs, horses, and cows. He can say dada, momma, uh-uh, dog, down, ball. He signs more and please. He understands no- doesn't mean he always listens. In fact, several times lately he has done something he isn't supposed to while shaking his head no.

Personality wise, he still loves to be outside and loves music. He loves playing rough with daddy. He has started going to bible class, and the teacher says he loves his... dances to all the songs, pats the bible, loves the snacks (big surprise), and enjoys play time. He also cannot get enough of other kids that are just a little older than he is. He thinks Easton and Neesha are the greatest, and enjoys watching our neighbor Shawn play too. He is busy, busy! He is always doing little things that crack me up. Definitely has a lot of his daddy in him!

Emotionally, he is still so sweet (most the time) and loves to blow and give kisses. He waves to everyone. He flirts with most girls... tilting his head and flashing that incredible smile. He does however have quite the temper when things don't go exactly how he wants them exactly when he wants them- especially when he has been spoiled by grandparents all week and has to go back to just mean old mommy!

I know you are tired of hearing me brag so I'll just get on to the part that everyone was looking for anyway... pictures and videos!

Here is what he has started doing when I ask him to say cheese... think I've taken a few pictures of this child?!?!

How I found him the other day... always into something.

We had a fun water day out in the yard the other day. Daddy broke out the water hose on us, but, don't worry... Cole and I got him back good!

Sweet kisses for my fun daddy... [

Standing up outside with his stick. This picture makes me feel like he is so grown up.

Here is some bathtime fun. =)

Daddy taught him to smack his lips if it's mmm, mmm good. And Cole wanted to show some of his other tricks too while I was videoing. I think he thought maybe I would finally get the camera out of his face and let him eat if he just showed them all.

I told you he loves music... Sorry daddy- even Martina!

Look at our big boy standing up.

And last but definitely not least... Cole WALKING!!! Here he is walking between us, but he is getting brave and walking from the couch to us or from us to the door or window. Wherever he wants to go pretty much. He definitely still prefers crawling if he wants something quickly, but he is really proud of himself when he walks!

Cute Cole!

My poor baby just can't get well! He has had at least a low-grade fever for a week now, and a lot of days he had one that was over 103. Today I took him back to the doctor because I wasn't sure that we ever actually got rid of the ear infection from 2 weeks ago. Not only did the left ear not clear up, his right ear also got infected! I am ready for a happy, healthy baby! 2 solid weeks of being sick is not fun. He is such a trooper though and seriously tries to be so good even though you can tell he is feeling so bad.

My parents took pity on me since Murray has had to be working so much while Cole has been sick and helped me get home for the long Memorial Day weekend. It was so nice have someone to help with Cole. Haha. Also it was just nice to get to relax some and enjoy the lake!

Getting some snuggling in with his great-papaw and great-mimi. We didn't see him without his fingers in his mouth very often. Definitely not feeling well but still so sweet!

We did have some fun moments even though Cole was feeling bad. Here is one of my dad and Cole. Dad started playing the guitar, and Cole loved it. He was so cute!
After we left the lake we headed back to Memphis... Thank you Dr. Bubba for seeing us and getting Cole some new medicine so he can feel better for Thomas and Morgan's big day this weekend!!!

It worked out so great to be home this week because Logan came home from his semester in Chile this morning!!! Cole and I got to surprise him at the airport. We were so glad to see him!

Cole showed off his tricks including how great he is at playing ball.
Cole with a clean-cut Logan and Jennee.
Here he is saying a couple of his new words... Momma!!!

And uh-oh (without the oh)...

And playing peek-a-boo with my mom's cat...

And finally a rare smile with Nonny and Poppy... all that spoiling is paying off!
