12 Months Old!

Our sweet Kyndall girl... How can you be a year old?  This year has flown by, and you have made it wonderful.  You are as sweet as can be.  You have the best smile that lights up your whole face.  Your belly laugh is contagious, and your snuggles are more precious than gold.  I am so thankful God chose you to be our family's caboose!  Just what we needed!

It's crazy to see all the things you have learned to do in a year.  You have several words... momma, dadda, uh-oh, hi, bye-bye, ball, baby, dog.  You love to look at books, and I love the way that you point to the pictures as we turn pages.  You imitate the sounds of the animals on the pages.  You are particularly good at the tiger, monkey, and cow.  Haha.

You have started doing a lot of tricks- even just in the last month.  You can give high fives which has made your big brothers and sister super happy!  You try to brush your hair when given a brush, and you hold a phone up to your ear and say hello.  You like to honk people's noses, and you even blow kisses!

This "blinking" trick is also pretty funny!  You work so hard to do it.

One of our favorite tricks to see you do now is pull up!  I was quite surprised the first time I walked in to get you out of bed and saw you standing there looking at me.

It has led to you getting into some new things though!

Even not pulling up, you find yourself in some pretty situations!

You love babies!  Real babies, baby dolls, it doesn't matter.  I don't like that you seem less like the baby in most situations now though!  You should still be in the baby carseat!

You love to be outside.  You would be outside all the time if we would let you.  You love to swing, and you obviously hate riding on daddy's shoulders!

At your one year old check-up, you weighed 18lbs 6oz (10th percentile) and 28in (25th percentile). I assured Dr. Catherine that you eat all the time.  And anything!  Chicken, blueberries, corn, yogurt, mushrooms, artichokes, lasagna, tomatoes, and beef are a few new things we have added this month.  

You are a dancing machine!  You love music.  It's precious how excited you get when one of our "dance party" favorites comes on.  Your two best moves are hopping up and down on your bottom and turning circles round and round on your bottom.

You are usually a really happy girl.  Few things get you too upset.  You do get mad about diaper changes, being put in your carseat, and having to get out of the bath.  Otherwise, if we feed you and let you get some sleep, you are pretty easy-going!  

One of my favorite things you do right now is give hugs.  You do your best to squeeze me and then you grunt.  It's the best!  Baby girl, this past year, you have given us so much joy.  We are so grateful to be your family and could not love you more!
