So a little over a month ago, my awesome husband (formerly known as a running hater!) ran a half marathon! He did some sprint triathlons last year and set a goal for himself to run the Indianapolis half this year. Part of me wondered if he would stick to this goal, but he was totally dedicated to it and rocked it!
My dad and brother ran it too so it really was a fun family affair!
You should have seen me and Momma trying to get from our parking spot (a few blocks away from the finish) to the bleachers with these three. It was early. It was chilly. We had 3 under 5. It was so worth it! Jordan especially thought so. Haha. We waited while trying to spot everyone, but only ended up spotting Murray as he was headed toward the finish line.
Luckily we found the other guys after they finished! It was slightly chaotic down there with SO many people.
Cole was proud to sport Daddy’s medal!
The best part was that a lot of my extended family lives outside of Indianapolis so in addition to cheering the guys on, we were able to catch up with family and even introduce some to Hayes for the first time! The kids loved riding with Aunt Mona in her new golf cart!
Daddy really having an excuse to take a nap that day! He deserved it!
Hayes got to see his cousin Kento again. He liked him just as much this time!
And he didn’t seem to mind snuggling with several others either!
We headed to dinner that night to meet up with more of our family. My dad, his brothers , and his dad are really into cool, old, restored cars. Cole was pumped to get to ride in this one to dinner. Can you see him in the back window?
We were introduced to a new toy at dinner. It was a huge hit!
Grandma and Ainsley have a special talent… Can you do it?
Jordan found out that Ainsley does gymnastics, and she quickly climbed to the top of the charts in Jordan’s book! Ainsley even showed her how to do a cartwheel!
We had a great time cheering for Daddy, spending time with family, and making some special memories! Can’t wait to see all of you again soon! Love you very much!
