Snuggle Time!

With Cole being sick, we have bent the typically hard-fast rule that he sleeps in his own bed.  We have done pretty well at night keeping in there, but naptimes have been tough.  Can’t say that I really mind too much every now and then.  Knowing Jordan will be here before long, I am trying to soak up my baby boy as much as possible!

Here he is snuggled up with his baby sister!  Winking smile

And our family of 3 1/2 enjoying naptime today.  Daddy and Cole are actually STILL sleeping… I had to get up because I was getting pretty uncomfortable lying in bed with a little one on top of me, but I took it as long as I could because he was just so sweet & precious.  Sorry for the darkness, but my old phone doesn’t have a flash.

In other news… I had my 37 week appointment today.  I’m actually a couple days shy of 37 weeks, but close enough.  I am already 2 cm dilated and 60% effaced which is much farther than I was with Cole at this point.  Actually, I wasn’t this far progressed with Cole until 39 weeks, and he was born 3 days later.  Haha.  Guess we really do need to get that bag packed and finish stuff up in her room.  Truthfully, I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much because I know a lot of women are somewhat dilated for weeks.  It is exciting to feel like we are getting closer to meeting our sweet little girl though.  Yay!!!

Here is my 36 week picture… I’ll get a 37 week one up this weekend hopefully.

36 wks

And for your viewing pleasure… here is my 36 week picture from when I was pregnant with Cole.  I must admit that I feel and look much better this time around!  Of course, June heat in TN had a little to do with my swollenness, but still!

Favorite Bible Stories

Cole loves our bible story time at night.  We got an interactive bible for boys that gives creative ideas to help the stories come to life for little kids.  Cole really gets into some of it, and I can tell that it helps him remember them!  His favorite stories right now are…

David & Goliath

Zacchaeus

Jonah & the BIG Fish

And our #1 right now… Joshua and the city of Jericho.  (Please excuse the nipple playing. Haha)

And if you are wondering why we have him basically naked in these videos, it’s because he has been running a fever and is on antibiotics for tonsillitis and an upper airway infection.  Boo for sick babies!  He is such a trooper though, and he really seems to be feeling better today.

More of Cole…

I know all the grandparents are so disappointed with the title of this post!  Haha.  I forgot to add a couple of funny videos from when we were home last weekend.  Plus I’m adding some other funny stories and pictures of things Cole has done this past week.  Life is never dull at our house!

Here is Cole showing off his speed on the swing.  Cracks me up when he comes up with stuff like this on his own.  He probably did this for 3-4 minutes before I got the camera out.  Too funny!

And here he is playing peek-a-boo with Maddox again.  Our good buddy Davis found it pretty funny too.

Short video of Cole from the Easter Egg hunt.  Easton makes an appearance in this one as well with his VERY HEAVY Easter basket!  =)

Here is Cole singing “Our God is Mighty to Save” along with Murray.  Make sure to watch till the end because he shows off his “Praise the Lord” skills.

Cole is getting really good at puzzles.  I am particularly impressed with how well he does this one since it doesn’t have any pictures to match up or little handles.

Working very hard with Daddy on Jordan’s name sign for her room.

Love when it’s too quiet so I go to find him, and he is doing something so sweet.  Especially because it means I don’t have a huge mess to clean up!

P1140557

Friday night was kinda rainy, but we wanted to do something fun as a family so we hit up Chuck E. Cheese.  We had the best time, and Cole was so incredibly good.  He loved showing Murray all his favorite games, and he was so big eating his pizza and drinking koolaid all on his own.  Of course he had to wear his hat backwards to match Daddy.

P1140566

He lost the hat though when it was time to get serious about the games!

P1140568P1140570P1140571

Cole hit a button on this one game and won 40 tickets!  Pretty sure Murray and I were more excited than Cole although he was pretty happy watching all the tickets pouring out, and really happy picking out his 3 miniature froggies and 3 packages of smarties at the prize counter!  Definitely got our money’s worth there!  Winking smile

P1140572

The other day he went and got his tools and told me he was “fixin’ his truck.”  He worked on it for a good long while.  Think he has some Nickleson boy in him!

P1140573P1140576P1140577

And Sunday morning, he needed to shave like Daddy.  Don’t worry, Murray turned the blade away from his sweet baby face, and we keep our razors WAY out of reach!

These next 2 are blurry, but I had to snap them with my phone before I missed my chance.  Cole fixed his robot’s legs out to the side, laid him on the bean bag (where we change Cole’s diaper), got his Desitin, pretended to rub medicine on the robot, and said “Ok, all clean robot.”  Too funny except that it shows you how often we use the Desitin for sore bottoms at our house.

And finally here is my little monkey “helping” me grocery shop.  What happened to the grocery carts that had more space underneath for kids to actually sit?  I used to love to sit under there and apparently Cole would like them too.

Photo306

And this is just for my own memory later on because I know I will forget things like this even though it seems impossible now… today we were looking at a book that had sea creatures, and Cole pointed at the octopus and said “optocus.”  He was so proud.  No quite right, but so cute!

I’ve posted a few times over the last week so make sure not to miss any of my awesome posts.  Winking smile

Time in Tennessee

We had the best time visiting family last weekend in TN.  Cole and I had been home in February, but Murray hadn’t been able to go back to see everyone since Christmas.  To say we were overdue for a visit is an understatement!  Of course nobody could believe how much Cole has changed and grown up, and he sure didn’t mind being the center of attention and showing all his tricks!  He was a little trooper with all the road time we crammed into the weekend, and we were really proud of how great he was.  Here are some pictures from our last trip to TN as a family of 3.

Our first stop was in Huntingdon, and Cole and Easton were ready for the playground as soon as we opened the car door!

Cole is quite bossy about who he wants to rock with him and which seat they are supposed to be in!

We spent Thursday morning with Murray’s cousin’s little boy Maddox.  He is 6 months younger than Cole, and they are big buddies!  Here Cole is playing peek-a-boo with Maddox.  They both thought it was SO funny!

We also got to see a bunch of baby chicks.  Cole even held one!

P1140245

He thinks he is too big for the baby swings now!

P1140258

Great Grandma Sara babysat for Cole Thursday afternoon so I could run to get my haircut and visit with Liz for a little while.  We all had a great time!

At Easton’s tee-ball game… the boys in their cool shades!

P1140269

Serious about the game!

Just hanging out with Uncle Thomas and Aunt Morgan…

P1140278

Yay the game is over!  Cole couldn’t wait to get his hands on Easton!

P1140289

Riding the mower with PopPop… really fun as long as it wasn’t really running.  Haha.

P1140295

We had an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos since we won’t be making it home for Easter next weekend.  Cole was really into it this year- especially when he realized candy was inside the eggs!

All the kiddos… even Davis got to come and hunt with us!

Moving on to Memphis… Cole was really excited that Uncle Logan was in town last weekend too!  He LOVES him!

Just couldn’t wait on Mommy to start opening presents!

P1140348

He took Jordan’s baby doll, put it in Kaleb’s carseat, and started rocking it.  So sweet!

P1140405

All my friends and at least some of their babies… a few of the older ones stayed home, and Ashley’s Baby Dean is due just a little after Jordan.

Hopefully I can share some of the pictures from my church shower here soon.  I keep forgetting to ask for them from my friend.  Anyway, I have some more funny Cole stories to share soon so check back!
