Christmas Party Time!

Hayes and I got to party it up with Cole and Jordan at their class Christmas parties.

The kids were super excited about the snowman cookies that they made.  They were harder than they looked!  Haha.  Some were more melted than others, but as Cole so optimistically said “I bet they will still taste really good, Mom!”  Haha.

Mrs. Emily read the kids several Christmas books which they loved and thought were pretty funny!

Cole really had fun making his Santa craft.  He did a great job!

And Hayes had a big time sharing Cole’s snacks!

Then things got a little goofy!

School Christmas Program

IMG_6439

Cole and Jordan were stars of the show at their school Crhistmas program!  At least to me!  They seriously were so stinkin’ cute, and it made my momma heart swell watching them do so well and be so proud of themselves.  Cole has had some program practice, but this was Jordan’s big debut!  She knew all her songs and motions, and she loved having an audience!

Cole was picked to be the example of 5 kangaroos in the Australian version of “12 Days of Christmas.”  He was so excited!  Look at that sweet boy’s face… I could just eat him up!

All the early childhood classes came back together at the end of the program to sing We Wish You a Merry Christmas.  It was so cute, and everyone did so well!  We are really thankful to have a school like Harding and teachers who go above and beyond for the kiddos.

And then it was time for a reward… COOKIES!  Guess what color Jordan’s icing was?!?!

Germantown Christmas Parade

Our house is located right off the route of the Germantown Parade.  That plus friends and pretty weather made for a really fun time!  The kids loved getting to have their buddies over to play for a while, watching the parade, and hoarding all the candy that was thrown!

The crew…

The kids sat in the chairs for a few floats…

And then secured a spot closer to the candy throwers!

We won’t have our prime location for next year’s parade… maybe we should add parade parking rights into our contract!  ;)

Murray and I became Mr. & Mrs. Butler!  It was a wonderful day that was made incredibly beautiful thanks to friends and family!  As wonderful as that day was and as optimistic as I was about our future, I never dreamed how incredible these past eight years would be.  Murray is truly my best friend.  We have grown together through easy times, sleepless times, stressful times, and hilarious times.  We have lived and built community in three different states, finished school, started careers, had 3 (almost 4) sweet babies together, and made a sweet and crazy life together.

I really am lucky because this man may play it cool, but he spoils me rotten!  He always brings me a snack at night, lets me warm my freezing cold feet under his legs in bed, and agreed to move his recliner to where he can’t even use it so that the room looks better to me.  Those may seem silly, but they mean a lot!  And of course there’s the fact that he constantly supports and encourages me, always keeps me laughing, and couldn’t be a more fun or loving daddy to our kiddos.  He challenges me to be a better person by growing closer to God and serving him and others around me.  To be totally cheesy… he is the peanut butter to my jelly!  (One of the snacks he makes me most often!)

We are headed to San Antonio on a babymoon/anniversary trip the end of January (YAY!!) so we kept the actual anniversary low-key, but Murray did surprise me with the perfect bouquet!

A few pictures from our big day!

So thankful for the blessing Murray has been in my life and praying for many more years!
