Hayes loved having his hair washed the other day, but he was all wrapped up and warm. The sponge bath wasn’t as warm and cozy though, and he wasn’t so sure about it. He didn’t scream the whole time, but he was happy to be done… although he was still giving me dirty looks wrapped up in his towel! Cole and Jordan were pretty intrigued with him getting a bath in the sink.

1st Bath
Since We’ve Been Home
We have been busy getting settled this week. Hayes is sweet and snuggly, and we have all enjoyed being a little lazier and cuddling together!
Sweet snuggles with Daddy!
Hayes really likes his swing too when there aren’t arms to hold him. That’s pretty rare though!
The kids have been taking good care of him… reading him stories, brushing his hair, giving hugs and kisses, and just checking on him.
They also have decided to help me with house cleaning.
These days at home have led to some pretty funny imaginary games! Here is our space visitor with rocket boosters!
This boy is going to be a finger/thumb sucker for sure! He will take a paci, but it takes a lot of effort on our part. He much prefers to try to suck on his hands/knuckles!
Look at those pretty brown eyes! Cole said he would have dark eyes like the other boys in the family, and he was right!
His hair is awesome, but hard to keep clean! Here are some picture from his day at the barber shop. He really loved it actually.
All dressed up for his first doctor’s visit. He was perfect! He was already back up to just an ounce shy of birth weight! Dr. Catherine ooh’d and aww’d over his hair and how sweet he was. We go back next Thursday for a second weight check and then at 6 weeks for shots.
Cole got to wear the Big Brother crown at school while they sang him the Big Brother song. The next school day was show and tell for something starting with the letter “H.” He came up with the idea of a big heart since that starts with “H” and pictures of everyone with Hayes since that starts with “H.” Love this proud big brother!
The other night the kids needed one more snuggle before they could go to sleep. It made for the sweetest moment, and I think it helped Hayes have sweet dreams too!
We had a big outing to Chili’s with Daddy, Nonny, and Poppy! Hayes wore his “I dig my Dad” shirt for the occasion, and Jordan enjoyed posing with the fall decorations. (Cole was at school.)
My boys wearing their “matching” rock and roll shirts. Cole has been so excited every time I have shown him matching outfits for the two of them.
Singing Hayes a good night song. I missed the first part, but you get the idea…
Jordan asked to hold him this morning. He started rooting around, and she said “No, Baby Hayes. I don’t have milk!” Haha.
Nothing special except the sweet boy in these pictures!
Sweet noises and expressions!
This week has already given us so many precious memories. God blessing us with Hayes has been amazing. He fits right into our family, and we couldn’t love this little guy more!
