I know my kids are only in school 3 half days a week. And I’ll be the first to admit that sometimes I am really thankful for those 3 half days! ;) But, I have been so excited for Christmas break because I would have my babies home with me.
We did a lot leading up to Christmas to get in the Christmas Spirit… Christmas movies, Christmas crafts, Christmas shopping, etc. We have also really enjoyed some lazy days at home after Christmas playing with our toys and each other. Here are a few random pictures of some of our fun the last few days.
We had a pretty amazing dance party one day, and, as we were calming down, I snapped this one of Cole. I don’t know what it was, and the picture doesn’t fully capture it, but something about his flushed little cheeks and shaggy hair reminded me of my toddler Cole. I love how big he is getting, but I really loved seeing a hint of the little boy in him too! And he is definitely not too big yet to snuggle with momma.
We had a little accident with the popcorn bucket someone gave to us, but the kids thought it was all the more fun! We are still finding popcorn… haha.
Jordan’s hair just looked so long to me this day. She was more than happy to model it for me. So pretty!
When we went shopping for the great grandmas, the kids were really into helping pick out the perfect picture frames. I told them they needed to find one that said 5x7, and they both picked out great ones all on their own. After we came back home, Cole used the magnadoodle to create his own 5x7 frame with our family picture inside. It has Daddy, me, Cole (holding Kyndall), Jordan, and Hayes crawling. So cute!
Cole has had skates for a little while now, but Jordan just got some for Christmas. We had a fun time practicing outside. We won’t win a race any time soon, but we avoided any major boo-boo’s at least!
I don’t want to use too much of Hayes before his 14 month post, but I had to share this. Jordan has become quite the little hoarder. I found a bunch of chocolate coins under this chair the other day, and apparently she had hidden her bubble tape under there as well at some point. Well, she got busted! Hayes found it and thought it was so fun before I busted him! Stinker!
He has really enjoyed playing in the playroom with his big brother and sister this week. A lot of times he has to be right in the middle of whatever they are doing, but he did have a big time playing with his bat all on his own too!
We had a fun day on New Year’s Eve. It was chilly out but sunny so we spent some fun time outside driving the jeep.
We also had read a lot of books. All my kids love to read books, and they all love to plop down in my lap for a good story. Unfortunately, I am running out of room! We made it work, but it was a difficult task!
We also ventured out to ChickFilA for lunch. Hayes was pretty pumped that I let him hold the ice cream cone himself! Too big!
They go back to school on Tuesday, and this momma is not ready. I have a ton of packing to do in order to be ready for our big move next weekend so I guess it is a good thing, but I have really enjoyed this break. I know Hayes and I both will miss having Cole and Jordan around 24-7!
