Between 3 sweet kiddos, never enough sleep, and packed schedules, I feel like I can rarely stay on top of things. No kidding, the other day I kept feeling like I was forgetting something. I looked at my phone calendar to see if I had happened to put something there, and all it said was “Play Date!” Great… do I text random friends to see if this play date was with them? If it was, won’t that make them feel good that I can’t even remember, and, if it wasn’t, won’t that make them feel good that they weren’t invited to the play date?!?! Haha. I know there are worse things to forget, but this just gives you an idea of the craziness of my brain these days!
Somehow, despite my absentmindedness, we manage, AND we have a lot of fun too! (most the time) Here are some pictures that I have randomly snapped along the way from our comings and goings…
Jordan had been asking and asking to go to Japanese. I finally asked her “What do you even want to eat there?” She immediately said “Rice!” So we got the girl some rice! She was determined to use chopsticks, and she actually did alright with the rubber banded ones. Until she got silly on us! She was a happy camper though!
We had not been to story time since Hayes was born. We were pretty regular attendees prior to that so when I mentioned story time to my big two, they were PUMPED! The funniest thing was watching how engrossed Hayes was the whole time. I thought he would want to eat while we were there, but he would not take his eyes off the librarian! He would smile and squeal. So sweet and smart!
We had a quick grocery stop after story time, and Cole informed me that he was big enough to hold Hayes. We improvised with the shopping cart, but he did hold him the whole time. Hayes loved it too because it let him look around at everything much more.
Sweet girl passed out on a stroll the other day. It’s been a long time since that has happened.
Look at this cutie!
And his proud big sissy!
The guys at church had a guys night to watch some of the March Madness tournament so a lot of the girls and kids met up at ChickFilA for a play date. (I remembered. Haha) We had quite the crew! Luckily for once ChickFilA wasn’t totally swamped. We all had a great time!
We met up with my family to celebrate Murray and Justin’s birthday (only a month late). Nonny and Poppy had a hard time eating their meals with all the loving these kiddos insisted on, but I didn’t hear any complaints. Cole was glued to Justin’s side. I wish I would have gotten a picture. It was so cute. They just sat and discussed the basketball game on tv. Cole would reach over and put his hand on Justin’s shoulder, and his chair kept inching closer and closer to Justin’s.
I worked the children’s clothing sale at our church last week. It was busy, busy, and little man hung with me most of the week. Literally. Haha. He was a big helper though! Until he got bored with it.
The clothing sale went great, and my kids will be well dressed! However, I can’t tell you how good a laid back day of snuggling my baby and spending time with this girl (and her big brother after school) was for a momma who isn’t used to being away from her babies so much!
And more randomness, but I love these 2 pictures. Look at that sweet face and those lashes! And check out her big girl hair do! She requested one little ponytail in the middle. So pretty and big!
Jordan also was invited to a birthday girls’ day with her best buddy Emery! We took the girls to a salon to have their nails done. They were so cute and funny about it!
So fancy!
Cole has been quite the gentleman lately picking flowers for his momma! Loving that Spring seems to be sticking around for good now!
And last but not least, Cole made this flower at school with reasons that he is special. I love this boy so much!
