Babymoon!

Murray and I ended up with a last minute weekend getaway last weekend, and it was SO nice!  We were offered tickets to the UT/WKU game in Knoxville, and planned to just get a hotel somewhere on the way Friday night until my mom found and booked us an incredible bed and breakfast instead!  We had such a great time talking and listening to music on the drive, relaxing at the B&B, watching the Vols win, and eating great food!  Just the time for us we had been needing! 

We stayed at Thistletop Inn which was just north of Nashville.  Such a cool place!

The kids went with my parents to the lake for the weekend.  We felt guilty having such a great time without them because they didn’t have any fun without us!

My sister-in-law takes amazing pictures!  I was so excited to have a chance for her to take some of my kiddos for their 2 & 4 year old pictures.  I love them!

Oh Jordan…

You are a handful little miss!  So much more mischievous than your big brother has ever been.  So much more hard-headed and stubborn too!  Whether you are getting into cabinets for bandaids or lotion, fighting sleep by sitting up in bed until you pass out, or being very hygienic by using an entire bottle of hand sanitizer from my purse, you are keeping me on my toes!   

That being said… You are AMAZING!  You are so sweet and cuddly, hilarious, and smart.  Plus you are the cutest little girl I’ve ever seen- even when you are busted (as proven by the pictures above)!  One of the best things lately has been how much you are looking forward to  your baby brother.  You talk about him all the time, always want to kiss him or rub him, and are even pretending he is in your belly!

And here you are so kind to fulfill his request of wanting to watch you drink momma’s coke!

Seriously though, I love hearing you talk about him and just knowing he is on your mind so much!  You are going to be the BEST big sister, and he is going to LOVE you! 

Best Friends!

Don’t get me wrong, they have their moments where they deliberately push each other’s buttons, tattle tale, etc., BUT… these two love being together!  And I love watching their friendship grow more and more.  They are sweet together, creative together, funny together… I just love them together too.

The Big 3-0

I had the most perfect birthday!  My wonderful husband, sweet kiddos, awesome family, and fun friends really made me feel loved and special!  The weekend before, we hung out a lot with friends and enjoyed some good family time too.  The night before my actual birthday, the kids gave me my present early, and boy was I surprised!  A new Mac laptop!  I never suspected it at all!  Murray said it is ONLY for me so that I can really work with my pictures, blog, take care of MOMents stuff, etc.  It was so awesome how supportive and thoughtful his idea was.  Love that boy!  Too top it off, he took me to Ruth’s Chris for dinner! 

On my REAL birthday, the spoiling continued!  The  kids (and Murray) made me breakfast in bed!

I got pretty flowers and some cute pjs from 2 of my sweet friends and a girls’ night out!  It was wonderful!

Later that week, Kelsey and Smith completely surprised me with their present to me.  Mom asked me to come over for the day, and, when I came home after hanging out with her, my dining room was transformed!  They had worked all day to refinish my table and hutch and brought new chairs for the room!  Awesome!

We also celebrated my birthday that next weekend over Labor Day with Murray’s family where I received awesome gifts and was able to get some super precious pictures made of my kiddos.  To top it all off, Murray and I got a new car that weekend too so now I have a Suburban that will be SO much easier to load 3 kiddos into and haul all their stuff!  I mean, does a birthday get any better than that?!?!  Most of all, I had so much of what really matters… sweet time my family and friends!  So grateful for all that the first 30 years of my life has brought about, and so looking forward to what happens from here!
