Next month will be the big ONE YEAR OLD! Which is totally and absolutely crazy, but for now we will focus on 11 months old! 
This month it has just been like a light has switched. Not that she hasn’t always been smart, attentive, playful, but she has just taken it up multiple notches. It has been a blast watching her.
Playing peek-a-boo between the table and chairs…
She is EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING! She loves pulling up on stuff, cruises across the couch, and will occasionally transfer from one thing to another (if it’s close- for example the tub to the toilet). Definitely not close to walking yet, but she gets where she wants to go without any trouble!
Yes that is a doorstop she managed to get off the wall… like I said into everything!
Unless she is tired or hungry, she pretty much wants down all the time. We were at ChickFilA the other day, and she was dying to get down to play. I was a little nervous with all the kids running around, but finally gave in to the constant squirming, put her down, and watched her have a blast!
She is a rough little booger too! She loves to be tickled, thrown in the air, and just rough-housed in general. This has made her quite a Daddy’s girl lately! You have to watch out for her too because she will whack ya if you aren’t paying attention. Haha. I actually have been practicing with her “being easy” with Cole. You would think it would be the other way around!
Another big thing for us this past month… We are totally done with baby food! She hated it. I dreaded it. We quit it. She barely has her two bottom teeth, but we are table food all the way now. I’m still nursing her 3-4 times a day too, but she is doing great (most days) with table food. So far she has eaten (that I remember), quaker oatmeal, grilled cheese, turkey, chicken nuggets, french fries, strawberries, banana, mandarin oranges, macaroni & cheese, spaghetti, lasagna, chicken casserole, green beans, broccoli, corn, bread, peanut butter cracker, and she definitely has a sweet tooth (brownie, ice cream, cupcake, cookie, etc.). Granted, some she does better with than others, but still! Proud of my big girl!
She is starting to catch on to more and more going on around her and respond. Like if Little Einsteins are on, she almost always claps at the end when it says “let’s give a big hand for the artist of the day,” or she will start dancing to the hot dog song at the end of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse- even if she hasn’t really been paying attention to the tv up to those points. She also rarely misses an opportunity to wave hi or bye if she hears anyone remotely close to her say those words. I’m working on blowing kisses, but it’s definitely still a work in progress.
I’m not sure if it is because she has been cutting teeth or if she is just becoming a drama queen, but she has been throwing little fits lately too. At this point, I still usuallly find her dramatic side hilarious and kinda cute actually. I’m sure that will change if it hangs around too much longer. Pitching a fit because I didn’t pick her up when she wanted…
She also has started playing with her eyelashes when she gets tired. I have never seen another baby do this, but I guess it’s similar to Cole playing with his hair. All I know is I hope she doesn’t get as rough with it as Cole did because I don’t know what I’ll do if she starts pulling her eyelashes out! 
She still is very much in love with her paci, and she does still love to be cuddled. I’m really glad about that last part. There is nothing sweeter than when she lays her little head down on me or snuggles her face into the side of my neck. She has finally started giving kisses now too. You still have to be extremely lucky and catch her in a very generous mood, but she does know what you are wanting her to do when you ask and her stinginess just makes them all the more special!
I know there are so many more things that I’m forgetting, but that will just make her next monthly update all the more entertaining. Thankful for each and every day with sweet baby girl!
