Weekend Whirlwind...

Last weekend we had a great time with the Butlers. This weekend we changed company (my parents, Logan, & Neesha), but again had a great time! It started out with Murray and Cole working hard to get the yard ready for our guests. Isn't Cole so cute wanting to be just like Daddy? I love that boy!

Stopping for a Kodak moment...

Aren't they the best?!?!

Checking out the fuzzy caterpillar... until he stomped on it. Poor little caterpillar!

Our cute little guy trying to find some shade and wondering what he did to deserve being tortured out in the heat.

Once my family got in town, we headed up to my aunt and uncle's house in Indiana to check out my dad's new car/project. Yes, this is it... He had a GTO judge in high school, and one day, this one will be restored to all its former glory.

While Dad was admiring/planning, we were enjoying the pool!!! Cole loves to swim- especially when everyone caters to what he wants to do in the pool!

SO proud of that belly!

Nonny made Cole a special tent in the car to block the sun. Made for a great napping spot!

Friday night we hit up the mall, and Cole paid Nonny back for the tent by giving her a massage in Brookstone.

While the girls shopped, the boys watched cartoons in the store. Pretty smart idea for the store because it lets mommas shop longer. Haha.

Saturday morning we headed to the National Street Rod Association's car show. As you saw above, my dad is into restoring old cars so this was the perfect opportunity for him to get some ideas and check out some parts. The rest of us tagged along... even Scout. He was excited!

Poppy and Cole both wore "Good Guys" car shirts to the car show.

Checking out the cool cars with Poppy!

Playing hide and go seek with Uncle Lo-Lo... he is so fun!

1...2...3!!!

Aunt Neesha was so sweet to share her shaved ice. Good thing she was here this weekend to share her yummy desserts since Aunt Kelsey wasn't! Missed you Kels for that and many other reasons!

I love this picture! Definitely gonna be a car guy like his Poppy!

Cole didn't want to be in his stroller AT ALL! That boy thinks he is so big. Glad we had it with us though so our other little man could get a good nap in. Murray and I joked about how we felt like those crazy dog people who have strollers just for their dogs.

Or dress them in diapers, onesies, and sunglasses. Yes... this is for real! Haha.

Cole loves Logan! He always smiles so big and feels the need to show Logan ALL his tricks.

Wardrobe change... had to wear matching car show shirts!

Finally passed out in Nonny's arms. Know she hated that! Haha. Actually her back probably did after his almost 2 hour nap!

Me & Murray. Such a lucky girl!

This was my favorite car of the ones I saw at the show.

Loved the dash! I guess I have a little of my Dad in me too. =)

Murray learning from the car expert.

After the car show, we headed back for Cole to take a nap at home... No we didn't make him sleep in the dog bed, but he was having so much fun lying in it. Sorry if y'all think that's gross. It had just been washed, and Scout hasn't really used it much yet.

After his nap, we headed to the zoo. Can you tell we love this place?

Of course we spent time at the splash park. Cole had a blast and showed off a lot! Poppy of course was so much fun, and Cole loved him swinging him into the water!
The crew waiting in line for the slide...

Here is a video of the 3 of us sliding... sorry most of it is sideways. The computer won't let me change it.

Think he was having fun?

Most definitely!

This boy loves to drive! I think he could stay right here the whole time if other kids wouldn't pull the ropes or push the buttons that make water spray all in his face. Haha.

Sweet, happy baby!

Poppy sneaking Cole a little coke in the bottle lid. And the verdict was...

AHHH! Give me more Poppy! His momma's boy alright!

Little sisterly treat to cool off! Can't believe Neesh is almost 12. She is really growing up!

Cole hitched a ride on Poppy.

Thought this was gonna be an awesome family picture till I looked closer at Cole's face. Haha.

That night Cole and Scout had big time playing with Scout's toy octopus. Cole pulled it all over the place, and Scout chased it back and forth. I'm so glad that they get along so well. Usually anyway. ;)

So... as cute as he is, the dog has caused a little sleep deprivation this week. Ready for him to be able to hold it all through the night. Feel like we just had another baby. Haha.

Sunday morning, I put Cole in an outfit that my brother wore when he was a baby. I thought Cole looked so sweet... Murray said he looked like he was in the Village People- especially when he put the firefighter hat on with his sailor outfit. Haha.

I think of the two of us though... I'm right. I mean- look at him!

Getting in a little cuddle time after his nap. Cole was obsessed with my dad this weekend. He definitely was the favorite this time around. Dad really hated it too. ;)

Still trying to wake up.

And... he's up! Sharing his milk with Nonny. Such a sweet boy!

As you can tell, it was a busy, fun-filled weekend. I don't know if Cole will know what to do with himself when next weekend rolls around and there is only mommy and daddy to play with. Thanks Nonny, Poppy, Logan, and Neesh for being so much fun! We miss you already!

Hard to Keep Up!

We have had an eventful few days... so eventful that my formerly empty SD card was too full to take any more pictures. Haha. Guess that means it's time for a catch-up blog! So, if you have a few minutes, enjoy this novel I'm about to write- don't worry... there are lots of pictures. =)

First we enjoyed having fun company this past weekend! Cole's Mimi, PopPop, and cousin Easton all came for a visit, and we didn't slow down for a second! Easton was super excited to get to our house. Here is a video of when he first got here...

He was so proud that he brought Baby Cole matching SpongeBob SquarePants pajamas. Aren't they just so cute together?!?!

We spent a good part of Saturday at our zoo showing Easton one of Cole's very favorite places! The boys had a great time, and the weather wasn't too hot for most of the time.

Posing for a picture on the rhino.

Of course we had to hit the waterpark. Unfortunately, it was the coldest part of the day while we were there. There were lots of clouds, and without that sun, the water was pretty chilly! Luckily Daddy/Uncle Murray was a trooper and hung in there with the boys.

Cole now steps on everything in the floor that somewhat resembles this pump... he just can't figure out why water doesn't always spray out.

Most of Easton & Murray's time together is spent doing exactly this... being loud and crazy! Haha. They have the best time together, and Easton adores Murray. Guess that seal was really getting Easton!

Cole and Daddy checking out the porthole...

Look out... there are some crazy drivers on this boat!

When the boys got tired of shivering, we dried off and headed to see some animals. Here is one of the sweetest pictures ever of Cole and Easton checking out the gorillas.

Cole thought Easton's song was fabulous! Look at that grin!

"Thanks Mimi for helping me through! I had so much fun playing with you!"

Yay for SpongeBob! Cole opted out of the 4D ride, and I think it's safe to say that all the boys may make the same decision next time around. Little more than these motion sickness prone guys were expecting. The rest of the weekend Easton kept saying "Hey Erin, remember when I rode that SpongeBob ride that made me sick?" Haha. Poor guy!

Fun carousel ride with Mommy! He kept shaking that pole. Guess he wanted that horsey to giddy up a little faster!

You know you have had a successful day at the zoo when on the less than 5 minute ride home, you have this...

and this...

One of the best things about having company is going out to eat. One- I don't have to cook. Two- we get to eat really yummy food! Thanks Mr. Walter & Mrs. Jenn for treating us this weekend! Cole and I are still enjoying the leftovers!

Easton kept driving this little boat over Cole's arms and head. The picture shows how great Cole thought this was. I love how great Easton is with him. He is just so sweet.

Ready for our night-time walk. I'm telling ya... we really didn't stop all weekend. Haha.

The whole crew enjoying the time together!

After all that fun, we had some DIRTY boys! What better than a double bubble bath?!?!

Mrs. Jennifer had matching outfits for the boys to wear Sunday morning. They looked precious, and Cole thought he was so big wearing big boy clothes like Easton. We did have a little trouble getting them to stand still for a picture, but I'm sure they were getting really tired of me saying- can y'all say cheese? ;)

And to prove my point above... here is about the cheesiest cheese ever from lunch on Sunday. Too funny!

So... if that weekend wasn't fun and exciting enough... we added to it when Easton's daddy, Joseph (Murray's middle brother), got engaged!!! We all love Megan and are so excited to have her in the family! Showing off her bling!

Joseph did so good... he set up this beautiful table in the backyard of his new house by the pool. He had gotten the recipe of her favorite meal from her mom and surprised her with all of it! So sweet!

Showing Easton the ring when they came back to Mimi & PopPop's house.

Needless to say, he was happy! What a cute family!

This is one of the best videos of all time... He cracks me up!

Didn't he do a great job! The picture really doesn't even do this justice!

And... we didn't think adding Megan to the family was quite enough so... we got a puppy! We have been really missing having a dog since Duke got lost, and, even though this dog won't replace him, we are really optimistic about the fun this little guy will bring to our family. He is a West Highland Terrier (Westie), and we are calling him Scout. He will get to be about 10-12 pounds which is about double what Duke was, but, with our rough little boy around, we figure that's probably a good thing! Cole wasn't really sure what he thought about him at first...

But he got excited about a new dog pretty quick!

Taking him for his first walk with the family. We haven't attempted the leash yet, but he stayed with us really well when we didn't have him in the wagon.

Quick video of him running...

I just know they are gonna be best buddies!

Is he not adorable?

I guess this was their mean faces... or their it's really too hot out here to be walking faces... not sure. Haha.

Poor guy was worn out & thirsty! Hard to drink and lay down at the same time, but he figured out a way!

These next few are totally random, but sometimes, you just have to share the hilarious moments in life... whether they will really embarrass your kid one day or not!
"Just chatting away on the phone while mom runs my bath... check out my tan lines!"

"Don't you all want a body like this?!?! I work hard for these abs!"

All it takes is stuffing your face whenever you get the chance! This is what I turned around to when I was trying to fix his lunch yesterday... guess I wasn't fixing it fast enough for him!
